The permanent signing of loan star Romelu Lukaku hasn't paid off the way Roberto Martinez will have hoped and with the Toffees having scored just one goal in their last three matches, this could prove to be a difficult fixture for the Merseyside club's attacking players.
Chelsea are top of the league this season by a clear seven point gap and as such as fancy them to take all three points in this game with relative ease. Given Everton's worries in front of goal, the likes of Thibaut Courtois and John Terry can expect a relatively simple night's work in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd.
Southampton vs West Ham United – Both teams to score
The Premier League's two surprise packages are set to meet in this Wednesday night fixture. Manchester City will be reeling and ready to bounce back following their disappointing home draw with Hull City this weekend and given that the gap between themselves and Chelsea has now widened to seven points, the Citizens travel to the Britannia Stadium fully aware that they can't afford to be dropping more points in this game.
Stoke City are not the easiest team to overcome in the Premier League but without their talismanic forward Bojan Krkic they shouldn't be able to offer much of a threat to the reining champions who will be able to include world class players such as Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany in their starting eleven.
