Ladbrokes have revealed that from 9:00am on Friday they will be offering all new customers the chance to back Manchester City at enhanced odds of 6/1 to beat Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The maximum bet at the enhanced price of 6/1 is £10 but the winnings are paid in cash and that means a return of £70 if the Citizens beat the Reds this weekend.
There are plenty of reasons to suggest that City will beat Liverpool as well, with the reigning champions looking to claim a victory over the team that they pipped to the title last season.
The return of Yaya Toure from African Nations Cup duty is a huge boost to Manuel Pellegrini's men while the recent goalscoring form of Sergio Aguero, who has now netted four goals in his last three matches, is another. Edin Dzeko is also back among the goals and David Silva is back to his best, which means that Liverpool's sometimes shaky defence could be in for a tough afternoon on Sunday.
The Reds will also have to cope with a long Europa League trip to Turkey during the week and it may just prove too much for Brendan Rodgers' men, who don't have a great record at the Etihad.
