A trio of FA Cup third-round replays and a Copa del Rey game combine for our Wednesday accumulator that pays almost 8/1.
Go to William Hill Wednesday's games page and back the following fourfold bet which would return £86.73 for a £10 stake if all correct (individual odds in brackets):
Millwall to qualify against Bradford City (10/11)
Ipswich Town v Southampton – Under 3 goals in 90 minutes (3/4)
Tottenham Hotspur to win at home to Burnley in 90 minutes (1/2)
Real Sociedad v Villarreal – both teams to score (8/11)
William Hill are offering competitive odds for all four selections, the reasoning for which is as follows:
The original match of this FA Cup third-round replay was a humdinger that finished 3-3, both teams spending time in front but unable to close out a place in the last 32.
There are only seven positions between these clubs in league terms and they could potentially swap divisions next season with Bradford chasing promotion to the Championship, but the Bantams were beaten at home by Rochdale on Saturday and could be in for more disappointment by missing out on a trip to Chelsea.
Southampton have the best defensive record away from home in the Premier League and showed exactly why when they won 1-0 at Manchester United on Sunday.
This could be another closely-contested game after the 1-1 draw at St Mary’s Stadium and backing it to be a low-scoring encounter makes sense.
Spurs were pegged back for a 1-1 draw by Burnley at Turf Moor, but home advantage should count now that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are performing much better at White Hart Lane than they were earlier in the season.
Burnley have already lost there in the Premier League and manager Sean Dyche has fewer options than Pochettino to rotate his squad and bring in some freshness.
Into the Copa del Rey now and of the four second-leg games taking place on Wednesday night, this is the option we like best to round off the accumulator.
Villarreal won 1-0 last week and have a good head-to-head record, but David Moyes will surely urge his Sociedad side to go for it and they are unbeaten at home under the Scot.
