Missing the weekend's action? There's plenty of football to get stuck into on Wednesday evening and we're hoping to take advantage with this 13/1 accumulator at William Hill.
Go to William Hill Wednesday's games page and back the following fourfold bet which would return £139.92 for a £10 stake if all correct (individual odds in brackets):
St Mirren v Dundee United - Away win (17/20)
Partick Thistle v Hamilton Academicals - BTTS (4/5)
Tottenham Hotspur v Sheffield United - Tottenham -1 (10/11)
Malaga v Athletic Bilbao – Home win (6/5)
William Hill are offering competitive odds for all four selections, the reasoning for which is as follows:
St Mirren v Dundee United - Away win
St Mirren have had a tough time of things in the Scottish Premiership this season. The Paisley-based club sit in the second bottom position with just 14 points to their name at this point. Only one of those points has been earned at Greenhill Road, their own stadium, as they've actually looked stronger on the road this term.
Their opponents on Wednesday night are Dundee United who currently lie in third place, although if they manage to win their game in hand they will go just three points behind current leaders Aberdeen. Given that they've won six of their last nine matches, we're fancying a win for the Terrors in this clash.
Partick Thistle v Hamilton Academicals - BTTS
Hamilton Academicals are one of the teams to look out for on any both teams to score accumulator. They have plenty of attacking talent, including the in-form winger Anthony Andreu, but they're very susceptible to the counter-attack and they rarely manage to keep a clean sheet - particularly away from home.
Partick Thistle are floundering in the bottom half of the division as things stand, but like Accies they have some real goalscoring ability and they'e especially prolific at Firhill Stadium in front of their home fans. The pace of Kallum Higginbotham will be a particular threat to the visitors - expect both teams to score in this fixture.
Tottenham Hotspur v Sheffield United - Tottenham -1
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to rack up a comfortable win in this Capital One Cup semi-final first leg, with Sheffield United making the trip to the capital despite being a League One side, and to have even reached this stage is a phenomenal achievement from a third tier outfit.
But Spurs have the quality, even if they decide to rest key players such as Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen, to really hammer this Sheffield United side. The bigger advantage they can manage to build up, the less work they'll have to do in the second leg in South Yorkshire next week, so we expect them to score some goals in this game.
Malaga v Athletic Bilbao – Home win
Malaga may not be in the best form going into this Copa Del Rey match against Athletic Bilbao but they should still expect to take a win from this first leg and they can still be very happy with their La Liga performances too this season as they find themselves in seventh place and on the verge of the Europa League qualification spots.
Athletic Bilbao on the other hand are really struggling to find a run of consistent form this term and despite finishing in the top four last year, Los Leones are struggling down in 13th at the minute. They've lost five of their last six matches in all competitions and we can see them losing once again in this match.
