The Bosnian international is the latest subject of the bookmaker’s first goalscorer price boost and is now 9/2 – from 4/1 – to break the deadlock against the Russians.
The former Wolfsburg target man has scored four goals for Manuel Pellegrini’s side in all competitions and while none of them have been the first goal scorer of the respective games, Dzeko has opened the scoring for Bosnia.
The 28-year-old helped Bosnia give Belgium a fright by notching first in the pair’s European Championship qualifier last month and City will be hoping that form can rub off once again when they face CSKA.
Dzeko’s early season form has not been up to his usual high standards but with City expected to dominate against the Russians, the Bosnian international must be fancied to add to his tally of four strikes this season.
