Sunderland v Newcastle - Under 2.5 goals @ 8/13 (1.62)
Valencia v Villarreal - Home win @ 21/20 (2.05)
Hertha Berlin v Paderborn - Home win @ evens (2.00)
Celta Viga v Barcelona - Barcelona -1 @ evens (2.00)
Sunderland v Newcastle - Under 2.5 goals
This local derby on Wearside is likely to be a rather edgy encounter. The first game between the two teams earlier in the season ended 1-0 to Sunderland and we expect a similarly edgy game with very few chances when the North East rivals meet again this Sunday, given what is at stake for both teams.
Sunderland, who have been awful in front of goal in recent weeks, are in desperate need of points in order to stave off the relegation dogfight, whereas Newcastle interim boss John Carver will be desperate for a derby day win in order to get the fans - and the board - on his side if he wishes to keep the job on a permanent basis.
Valencia v Villarreal - Home win
Valencia are enjoying a magnificent season in La Liga and they look set for a return to the Champions League as they currently occupy third place in the Spanish top tier. With six wins from their last seven games (their other match ending in a tie with reigning champions Atletico Madrid), confidence is very high at the Mestalla.
Villarreal are no pushovers and sit in a fairly impressive sixth place themselves, but Marcelino's men come into this game on the back of three defeats and a draw in their last four games in all competitions, so we can see Los Che earning yet another three points in front of their home fans on Sunday afternoon.
Hertha Berlin v Paderborn - Home win
Hertha Berlin are in decent form in the Bundesliga, having not lost in their last four games whilst picking up 1-0 victories against Hamburg and Augsburg. The eight points gained from this burst of form has taken BSC up to 13th in the league and four points clear of the relegation play-off spot currently occupied by Hamburg.
In this home fixture at the Olympiastadion, the men from the capital are expected to take another three points as they come up against a Paderborn side that currently lie in second bottom having picked up just one point from the last available 15 in the German top tier.
Celta Viga v Barcelona - Barcelona -1
Barcelona have opened up a four point gap at the top of La Liga following their El Clasico victory over arch rivals Real Madrid. The Catalonians have now won seven matches on the bounce in all competitions and you can expect them to make it eight on Sunday as they make the trip to Estadio de Balaidos.
Celta Vigo have had a solid enough season but a recent 4-1 loss against Villarreal showed their deficiencies and we expect Barca to take advantage of those weak areas in this game. With the quality of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in attack, the visitors can be expected to hit a few goals in the process.
