Chelsea are hoping to consolidate their position at the top of the table in this game against rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs have their own dreams of reaching the Champions League to consider however, so the Lilywhites will be no pushovers in this game, particularly against a raucous North London crowd.
Tottenham may have struggled to a 0-0 draw with Manchester United on Sunday, but don't let that fool you when it comes to their attacking talents. The United defence played well on the day, but Spurs have the in-form Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane in their team, so they'll feel they can trouble the Chelsea backline in this game.
The Danish attacking midfielder Eriksen has scored seven goals so far this season including vital winners against Hull City, Leicester City and Swansea City, whereas young English forward Kane has bagged an impressive 15 goals in all competitions in what seems to be his breakthrough season at White Hart Lane.
That said, at the other end, Spurs are going to have a lot of work to do. As if trying to keep Diego Costa quiet isn't hard enough, Chelsea have a plethora of midfielders more than capable of finding the net including Oscar, Willian, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas.
Regardless of those players though, Spain forward Costa is still the man to watch. With 13 goals in 16 games to his name so far, the 26 year old is up there with Sergio Aguero as one of the hottest strikers in the league at the minute and he's played a key part in Chelsea's success this so far this campaign.
It's in Spurs' nature to attack on home soil and although Chelsea have the stronger team and will be playing to win, Mauricio Pochettino's men are likely to breach Jose Mourinho's defences at some point in this clash, whilst Costa and co. should have no problem breaking down the likes of Federico Fazio and Vlad Chiriches.
